# About Driving Schools

## What Driving Schools is

Driving Schools is a directory of driving schools. Each listing page shows what we know about one driving school.

## Where the data comes from

We take records from the sources below.

- [OpenStreetMap (driving schools)](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright). License: Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, (c) OpenStreetMap contributors. See data/reports/osm.md for share-alike notes.. Data updated by hand.
- [School websites](https://drivingschools.fyi/). License: Each school's own published price page. The directory records one figure and links to the page.. Data updated by hand.

## A listing is a record, not an endorsement

A listing shows what we know about one driving school. It does not mean that we recommend it.

## How a listing is checked

Every published listing has its own page, and search engines can index it.

Our team reviews each new listing before it goes live.

An owner proves control of a listing with an email address on the business domain or a manual check by our team.

An owner change to the name, phone, website, street address, address line 2, city, region, postal code and country goes to review before it shows.

## Claim or correct a driving school

To claim a listing that is unclaimed, open it and select "Claim this listing".

To report a mistake, open the listing and select "Suggest a change".

> **Check before you book.** drivingschools.fyi lists driving schools and the details they publish. A listing is not a recommendation. Addresses, phone numbers and prices come from the sources named on each listing and were last checked on the date shown there; lesson prices and courses change, so confirm them with the school before you book.
