# What a driving school listing shows

A listing on this site shows the address, phone and website from open map data. A lesson price appears only when the school publishes one. You can filter by transmission, vehicle type and courses.

Updated 2026-10-20. Also on the [web page](https://drivingschools.fyi/guides/how-to-read-a-driving-school-listing).

Every listing on drivingschools.fyi starts from OpenStreetMap data. The map data gives the school name, mapped address, phone number, website and coordinates. Not every school has all of them. Of the 33 current listings, 12 show a phone number, 10 show a website and 7 show hours.

The address is the mapped address. It is not a pickup point unless the school says so. Ask the school which areas its instructors cover before you book. The city on a listing is the area the data was fetched for.

Prices appear only when the school itself publishes them. This site does not invent a lesson price. A listing with a price links to the school's own price page, and the date of the check is on the listing. No current listing shows a price. Prices change, so confirm any figure with the school before you pay.

The listing has fields for lesson price and package price. The package price is the price of the school's standard package, as the school publishes it. It has a field for the number of lessons in the package. These fields are blank until a price page is cited.

Vehicle types show what the school teaches on: car, electric vehicle, motorcycle or truck and CDL. The transmission field shows manual, automatic or both. Courses show the types the school says it offers: teen driver education, adult lessons, defensive driving, refresher lessons or an intensive course. All of these fields stay empty until the school or a source confirms them.

Test booking help is a yes or no field. So is online theory course. Both are blank on the current listings.

Hours show office hours, as mapped. They do not show when lessons run. Ask the school about evening and weekend lessons.

You can filter the city and category pages by transmission, vehicle type, courses, test booking help, online theory and price range. A filter shows only what is filled in. A school with an empty field does not match a filter on that field.

The listing is a starting point. The school is the source for times, prices and availability. Use the listing to find the school and its contact details. Then confirm everything with the school before you book.

## Questions

### Why do listings show no lesson price?

A price appears only when the school publishes one on its own website and an editor adds the figure. Open map data has no price fields. If a listing shows no price, ask the school directly.

### Where does the address come from?

It is the mapped address from OpenStreetMap. Ask the school which areas its instructors actually cover.

### Can I filter listings by price?

The city page has a price range filter. It uses only the published per-lesson figures. No current listing has one yet.

> **Check before you book.** drivingschools.fyi lists driving schools and the details they publish. A listing is not a recommendation. Addresses, phone numbers and prices come from the sources named on each listing and were last checked on the date shown there; lesson prices and courses change, so confirm them with the school before you book.
